Overview

This is the first version of my portfolio website. It was built in 2015 to showcase my work and skills. It was built with HTML, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and CSS.

Features

Feature 1: Tetris Game Background

The hero section of the website features a large Tetris game background that draws attention. I wanted to create an extremely engaging and attention-grabbing hero section that captures my love of video games but also had a lot of movement and colors. Tetris blocks falling all around the entire screen drew attention especially when we had a “career fair” that had many employers walking around and looking at all the students.

Feature 2: Project Gallery

I had all of my portfolio artifacts stored in a grid of images. I wanted to create a gallery that was easy to navigate and showcased my work in a way that was visually appealing. I used Bootstrap’s grid system to create a gallery that was responsive and easy to navigate. I added categories to alll the items so users would be able to filter my projects by type and when the user clicked on a project an image lightbox would open up with a description of the project and other images to see more of the project.

Feature 3: Contact Form

I built a straightforward contact form that allows clients to reach out about projects, with built-in protections to filter out spam.
