Overview

This was one of my first websites I worked on for a consultancy and it was built for an artist who wanted a highly visual website to showcase their artwork. There were a lot of images on the site, and part of the challenge was the artist wanted the site to almost look and feel like it was on paper or canvas.

Lessons Learned

• This is one of my first client websites so I learned a lot about communicating with clients and understanding their needs as well as balancing their vision with budget, timeline, and technical feasibility.
• I learned a lot about positioning images and getting a “layered” look that felt like you were interacting with paper or canvas.
• I learned how to take a desktop vision and then scale it down to a mobile view that was still visually appealing and functional.
